These are, strangely, the two cards I was looking at for the build I am going to order today.

I was settled on the 6870 but now they are both reduced I'm not sure which to go for now.

Is the 560 worth the extra £50 or do I snap up a 6870 at the lower price?

Help!

I can't make my mind up either. I want to order one of these cards but I have no idea which one to go for. This is a comparison of the stock version of both cards:

According to reviews I've read comparing the two cards, the 560ti is supposed to be a lot quieter and runs a lot cooler, but the performance of them is very similar in most games. It's proving a very hard choice, I guess it just comes down to whether you're willing to pay the extra £50 for a cooler, quieter card.

edit: if it weren't for the 2 free games I'd go for the 560ti, but I could sell both of those games and then the 6870 is effectively only costing about £100, bargain!

Take a look at this:

This is the reference version of both cards so unless your 460 is overclocked there will probably be a bit more of a gap. Unfortunately these charts have 1920*1200 but it gives you an idea of the performance difference at all resolutions.

I've just ordered the 6870, it's a fantastic deal at that price with the 2 free games included!

Snip, didnt read two posts up.

That gigabyte model is one of the two best built GTX 560s you can get. The silence and low temperatures on the gigabyte and MSI 560s is fantastic.

No more screens for me, I have two 23" Samsungs, a 19" Dell and a 46" Samsung!
I may order another of the 6870's for crossfire but I don't know if that will be a noticeable difference for the cost.
