Stellar Impact is an online strategy game taking place in a Sci-Fi/Space Opera universe. It stands somewhere between classics RTS and MOBA/DotA games. Our goal was to create a demanding but rewarding gameplay, based on maneuvers, skills and strategies elaboration. Most of all, we tried to create something fun and teamplay oriented!

In Stellar Impact the war between alies and axis has moved to space and you command a space battleship! You can choose between several ship classes, from the fast corvette to the heavy dreadnought. Make your own skills template according to your preferences: attack, defense, speed and maneuverability, or recognition. Join the fight now!

Just started playing this after seeing Totalbiscuits review its a pretty decent game and worth checking out if you are into unloading a full broadside on an enemy in space, Its free to play and only a 200mb download so worth a try :)

I will embed totalbiscuits review in here anyway so people can get an idea of the gameplay.

Ive only played as the destroyer class so far, its a nice mix between speed and firepower might give the others a try in a bit. Would be nice if a few ocuk'ers got it could probably get on mumble and communicate during the game since teamwork is quite essential.

Unfortunatly the game I was just in lagged out.
Shame as it was fun.

VERY slow paced game, takes ages to gain ground.
However, I finding it much fun.

ooo i was playing with you! assuming your name is actually reppyboyo in the game. We ended up winning anyway. It can be laggy some times mostly at the start there is a lot of rubber banding but it seems to smooth out later on.

I have only played 2 games and on losing the second battle i got kicked by the servers which wasn't surprising as i had so much lag that half the time I couldn't move, but I do like it.

I am playing for free at moment and will play some more when the servers come back up and then decide if to buy it.

Well I didn't get on with League of Legends, but I did like Navy Field. What the hell, I'll give the free version a go.

Had a game of this earlier this evening and was pleasantly surprised. It is basically DotA only with slow-moving ships controlled like naval ships would be.

You know the drill...choose your class of ship, bolt on some extras (loot drops at the end of a battle) to do specific things or boost attributes, pick which skills you want to take into battle, etc. During battle your skills are all on individual cooldowns and you can accrue points as you go to upgrade weapons, hull, escorts (creeps) etc.

Actually I'm not telling you anything that Totalbiscuit video won't, so I'll stop there. But I played in a noob game and had a surprisingly good amount of fun. There were ~600 players online at around 21:00. Give it a try.

Meridian4 announces they have signed on as the North American publisher for STELLAR IMPACT, and the game will be released via digital distribution this spring, though the online strategy game is also currently for sale as the premium part of its free-to-play model. Word is this will be a fuller version of the game. "Stellar Impact created an impressive cult following during its beta program and we’re excited to expand the audience with a full featured release across all the major digital portals," said Steve Milburn, Marketing Director of Meridian4. "Strategy game fans will soon get to experience a dynamic new sci-fi adventure and challenging multiplayer experience." They also say the release will be followed by DLC releases.
