Would it be worth buying a new boiler or repairing my old one.

Well, I have a Worcester 24I and the flue dosen't light up, its making those continuous light up noises but it won't make a flame, I also need a new thermostat, a new radiator and one that's fallen down being put back up, I don't know how much it would cost but do you think I should repair it, is it too old? I've left this too late as winters coming up. how much would a new boiler cost?

thanks

yeah I think that it and I've tried pressing the reset button to no avail, but before getting a boiler person in to repair it would it be safe as it seems old and hasn't been serviced for 7 years that I've lived in the house.

I have this boiler.

It is SO simple there are about 8 parts.

I'll hedge my bets its the fan or the pressure switch.

Switch:

Fan:

Fan is for the junior but check part numbers etc.

Now i don't advocate this too much but the pressure switch is REALLY easy to change. The dan is too but you have to take the casing off.

I got my fan replaced all in for £185 inc labour a couple of months ago...

Edit: In fact I have a pressure switch if you want £10 posted? (bought to check mine but mine wasn't the issue)
