Hey guys! After years of loving my Samsung Syncmaster 226BW, it finally started bugging out... it'd require multiple restarts to "charge" the screen to the point where it would work - it'd work fine after that, but waiting 20 mins to an hour to use my computer was ridiculous!
As a result of my good experience with Samsung monitors, I then browsed about for a new 22-25" 16:10 monitor (as 16:9 just looks weird to me). I found there were only really 3 monitors that were readily purchasable - an LED (the LS24A450MW), an LCD, and the Syncmaster 2443BW. All 24" 16:10, so I was rather pleased as I put in my order for the LS24 as I had heard good things about LED...
Mild but visible horizontal pixel rows (ie, you can just about see the dark lines between the pixels at normal distance), and the colour range and depth seems flat and poor... I notice banding in smoke clouds as it steps between colours, and everything is really gamma and washed out. I've spent ages messing with the settings, but it keeps coming back to this...
Am I doing it wrong, or does it really suck? I can find basically no reviews... and if it does suck, mind suggesting an alternative? (Pref. £200-300 from any reputable dealer). Ta guys!
