PC Crashing and Artifacting Issue

My PC now and again will lock up completely, and the screen will fill with little green lines, as shown in the photo below:



This happens every few days, the system will need restarting via the power button. I'm not sure what this is down to, I've tried the event logs and they show nothing.

I suspect the graphics card may be bad but I'm not certain. The specs are as follows:

Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H
AMD 1055T Hex Core CPU
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB DDR3
No Brand Nvidia 9600GT
OCZ 500W StealthXStream PSU

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd very much appreciate it.

Looks like graphics card to me, check the cable is in ok.

Check cable.

Uninstall the current drivers, use driver sweeper to get rid of any remaining drivers completely, then reinstall using the latest drivers.

If this doesn't work, the card could be on its death bed.
