WOMEN'S OLYMPIC FOOTBALL DRAW

Group E: Great Britain, Cameroon, New Zealand, Brazil
Group F: Japan, Sweden, South Africa, Canada
Group G: USA, France, Colombia, Korea DPR
The top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams qualify for the quarter-finals.

MEN'S OLYMPIC FOOTBALL DRAW

Group A:Great Britain, Senegal, Uruguay, UAE
Group B: Mexico, South Korea, Gabon, Switzerland
Group C: Brazil, Belarus, New Zealand, Egypt
Group D: Spain, Honduras, Japan, Morocco

Venues: Wembley Stadium, Millennium Stadium, Hampden Park, Old Trafford, St James' Park and City of Coventry Stadium

To spread the congestion and the olympic spirit or should that be cost!

They could quite easily have hosted the whole tournament within the boundaries of London given the number of decent stadiums but the place is already going to be a log jam for the duration so throwing in and extra couple of hundred thousand footy fans probably seemed like a bad idea. It's also clearly away to spread the cost around the country as we all know the Olympics is going to loose the UK a fortune so it is better for London if they can spread it around where possible!
