I would check and see if your cooler is bolted down too tight first. Have you got any other memory you can try my ASUS MVG stops on 55 when I first put in my Gskill PSC based DIMMS I have to boot with other dimms set voltage and speed. Then place PSC based Pi's in and they boot every time then. In general 55 means the IMC on the CPu can make the frequency but your dimms need tuning.

Thanks for reply

Whats weird is it booted fine 3x times into bio's ...running for bout 10mins fine cpu @ 32c

closed bio's then error 55

reseated cpu and booted with just cpu in and same error even if adding other components 1 @ a time :(

Hello,

There have been issues with retail stepping Ivy Bridge CPU's that required an Intel Management Engine firmware update to fix, this could be related to that. The firmware update is included in the latest BIOS version 10.5. Please attempt to update your BIOS and see if this fixes your issues.

Also, please bear in mind that your board has a dual bios configuration with a manual switch on the board, so if you are having issues with one BIOS you may wish to try the other.
