Trouble with VTX3D 7870 Tahiti LE: No signal

Hi, I purchased a VTX3D 7870 Tahiti LE, however I get signal from it when I power on my PC.
When I have both PCIE slots plugged in, the computer turns on for a few seconds but doesn't beep and then turns on and off but still nothing. With only one PCIE everything else works like normal however still no signal. I've checked the fan and it is spinning and I have the drivers installed. Also the GPU is not listed in the device manager.
I've heard that updating the BIOS can fix this problem, but when I looked for a new version of my mobo's BIOS I couldn't find the correct one, I checked on the Foxconn website and on the AMI site however none of them seem to be the correct one. I even found my mobo on Foxconn but the only BIOS that gave a message other than telling me that it's incompatible with my mobo was one that said it was only for 32 bit systems.
Here are my motherboard specs if they help:

Mobo: (Foxconn?)/Intel H67M-S
PSU: Corsair CX600 600w

I'm thinking that maybe the GPU isn't compatible with my mobo or maybe it's just faulty, any help would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about your motherboard, but when I got my 7870xt I had to update my BIOS to make it work. The first time I booted up I had the same thing, a black screen.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

Going by your CPU-z mobo tab your board is either H67M-S or H67M-V. Open your case to find out exactly the right model number for your board as flashing the wrong bios will probably brick the board. When you confirm the model click on the relevant one and the bios/drivers etc are under the technical support tab.

Thanks for the welcome, I've already looked and it's a H67M-S, but I tried the latest BIOS and it didn't work, my current BIOS is a version A4 one, so I'm assuming the C2 ones not be compatible? come to think of it it was a bit silly to try that one lol. The latest A4 one is only a few days newer than mine but I guess it was still released after I got my PC, I' ill try it out now thanks.
Update: So I tried the latest BIOS, A48F1P03, but I got a message saying that it isn't compatible with my version of Windows (7 premium 64 bit).
Also, would an old BIOS be the reason that the card isn't showing up in my device manager? because that's the reason I think the card is faulty.

There is a well known problem with this card in Gigabyte boards, mainly the Z77-D3H and it's always fixed with a bios flash. It should be the same for other monufacturers.

I believe the only way to update the bios is by using live update. There is'nt a tool in the bios on Foxconn boards is there? Do you have "bios write protect" or "super bios protect" set to disabled in the bios? Foxconn list their releases the wrong way around so the latest version, C29F1P01, is the bottom one, not the top one. If that one will not flash try the next one up, A48F1020, although that is almost 2 years old and i doubt if it will fix the problem.

Personally if you can't get it to work i would rather swap to a decent mobo than send the card back.

VTX are crap full stop. God help you outside warranty too as they have no european help

And how is this an issue with VTX? Obviously a problem with the motherboard BIOS

It's worth nothing Foxconn are also considered "crap"

No offense to OP though as my first build was on a budget so I went with a Foxconn motherboard but hey what do you know never had any problems with it

I'm not really surprised to hear that Foxconn are crap, I got my system pre built from a site recommended by a friend as I didn't know much at the time.
As for the BIOS, I downloaded the latest one (C29F1P01) and got the Live Update too, when it scanned it told me I had the latest driver, but obviously I don't as I just downloaded a newer one. When I run the exe's directly I get a message telling me that the driver is incompatible with my version of Windows as stated above. I could install it through the Live Update but I'd rather not risk it in case it actually is the wrong one.
I don't suppose any one has any idea if a GTX 660 would work for me? Or maybe I'm stuck with older cards until I update my BIOS :(

I would try updating it through live update. There is no certainty that a 660 would work either. It probably would but it's not a dead cert. The problem seems to be with the Tahiti LE cards not working with certain mobo's until a bios flash. In your case i would be very tempted to get a decent mobo so that you could overclock that 2500k as well.

I don't see myself getting a new mobo any time soon tbh, I don't intend to overclock my CPU and wasn't planning on oc'ing my gpu too much either.
If I update my BIOS and it does go wrong, how would I got about fixing it? I've already got a backup on a USB.
Also if it does work I'm still worried about the issue of the pc not starting up if I use both PCIE 6 pin slots on the GPU, would only using one affect it a lot?

And I don't suppose the BIOS update will fix this issue? because I get the feeling that my PC not starting up when they are both connected has nothing to do with the BIOS.

You said 6pin and 6 pin in your original post but does'nt the card need a 6 pin and a 8 pin? If you are only using a pair of 6 pin plugs this would cause the card not to work. If you are already using a 6 and 8 pin then i am stuck. You can't update the bios due to incompatible software (crappy Foxconn) then there is not a lot you can do but return the card. Be ready for a no fault found and a "testing fee" though.

One last thing to try. Have you disabled the onboard graphics in the bios and set it to use the pci-e first?
