Really looking forward to the update as it addresses a number of issues like WinRT app multitasking and multimonitor and the fragmentation of settings between the Modern UI and desktop.

Nothing that hasn't been mentioned in the wish list threads. Seems like desktop metro users stand to gain the most - persistent start screen on multiple monitors, multiple concurrent metro apps open, larger and smaller tiles and 50/50 snap view.

Can't help but think this is going to add even more confusion, unless of course Windows 8 turns into Windows Blue, but I doubt that.

In which case, it doesn't really address the problems for those who have the problems, as they'll be on Windows 8.

seems to be a mass roll out of all sorts or updates pre blue and blue seem to be more stable as well in the latest build, so win win if you have made the jump, im testing it only, still waiting for sp1 before i finally leave win 7

I really hope the updates haven't pre-downloaded. They should update through the store like everyone else on an opt-in basis. If I'm on a data cap I certainly don't want to squander it on bing finance.

Supposedly it will be a free update to Windows 8 similar to Server products have had for a while now as "R2" interim update releases between major product updates.
