Hi guys,

I've got a load of 'soft' patches appearing on a floor at work.

I've been asked to look at it (why they asked me I'll never know..)

anyways the floor is concrete with carpet tiles on top. When the building was refirb for us, the existing floor port where filled in and new ones drilled.

After 3 years the spots where the old floor port where have started to become soft as whatever they used as broken up.

What the best way to fix this?

I'm tempted to pull the tiles up, chisel out the soft bits and refill. but with what?

Ideally, I'd like to use some sort of fast drying adhesive instead of mixing stuff up.

Any thoughts?

thanks,

Concrete is no good good on shallow holes.

What depth are these holes, how many are there, got a photo of the problem will also help.

Probably get away with using a leveling compound, use a deep base one, would be suitable for holes about 5-50mm depth.

this one is where the floor boxes were filled in and it's started to fall apart. I can't take up anymore until i fill it as it'll create a bigger problem!

Don't know how big those floor boxes are, & how deep are these floor boxes?,I would open up the area, & fill the complete floor box, as the floor screed looks rather thin, & if you patch that hole it might crack elsewhere in the floor box.

Have they been filled with rubble, aggregate & thinly skimmed with a screed

BS: They also do a 2kg tub.
