If you have had problems like I have with the Creative Sound Blaster Z Series where the Sound Blaster Control Panel was showing only two options or was missing features then I found the problem to be with he built in sound cards in my graphics card (7950).
I spent so long searching all over the internet for a fix for the problem, re-installing a million times but finally, disabling the 7950 sound option in the Windows Sound thing instantly fixed the problem.
I assume the Control Panel was loading options for the wrong device (despite Creative Z being selected!) But hey ho!
This solution was no where else on the internet so wanted to post it somewhere to help any others with a similar problem.
Peace out!
