Oh noes Haswell 4770K only gets 7.8 on Windows Inex Score! What gives?

I am shocked, nae appalled at what my peepers had to experience upon the semi completion of my new build. (nearly built apart from side panels, roof, and making do with stock intel cooler, and a keyboard with a not very responsive D button ;) ).

After the usual validation I run the index score, and what the... The 4770K only scores 7.8, not 7.9?

What a let down! 4 out of 5 are 7.9, and after years of looking at substandard mechanical HDD scores dragging down the team, on this build it is the one the rest were looking up to, my CPU :(

What gives?
 
The windows score is meaningless and doesn't really reflect real world usage at all really.

Shove an overclock on and re-run the assessment if you're that bothered about it :)
 
Did you seriously think you would get a 7.9 CPU score ?
No one gets 7.9.
Those that claim they do outside of rare extreme cooled efforts are fakes.

In case no one has told you already WEI is rubbish and best ignored as a measure of PC performance.

:p get windows 8 if you want to see 7.9 or higher for cpu
