The 3570k is an oem chip with one year warranty , i would get the retail boxed version with 3 year warranty.

Do you plan on adding a second gpu at a later date to go SLI, dont need more than 8gb of ram for gaming.

Some people lean towards an I-7 as some games start to utilize hyperthreading , which is the only diffrence betwwen the I-7 and I-5

What's the difference between the oem chip and retail? I have however exchanged it over for the retail chip. I noticed 16gb was too much so I have knocked it down to 8gb

I might go SLI later in the future but not any time soon

Do you need a 500gb SSD? A 250gb would be enough for your OS and a load of games, and save you enough money to get a 780 rather than a 770.

Well I kind of think I do as I did have a 128gb SSD and that filled up VERY quickly and I'm not sure 250gb would be enough?

Also, is there really a lot of difference from a 770 to a 780? I'd only be playing at 1920x1080

I don't really have a 'budget' as I will be getting it on finance but I'd probably say £1400 MAX (Not that I would want to spend that much)

My understand is Haswell loves faster ram so I would recommend something faster, also for the price of the 770 I would recommend a 290, its loud but its as fast as the 780 £20 more then the 780.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7481/the-amd-radeon-r9-290-review/4

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £307.99
1 x Patriot Viper "Sapphire Blue" 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV38G213C1KBL) £69.95
Total : £388.74 (includes shipping : £9.00).

oem chip doesnt come with a intel heat skin I believe. I would agree 16gb is overkill unless you intend to do heavy video editing. Also I tend to just get 256gb SSD and 1tb HDD and store my important stuff on the SSD and use the HDD for everything else, tends to work well for me. Also I think it is best to get whatever GPU you can afford now, so later on down the line a 780 will last you a bit longer then the 770.

OEM comes with one year warranty, compared to 3 years on the retail chip. The retail also comes with the stock cooler.

They're the same price at the moment, so the retail box is a no-brainer, really.

You'll get a lot of games and apps on a 250gb drive. If you need extra space for other files, you can get a 1TB hard drive for like £60 these days. (Obviously that's your call, though)

Have a look at some 770 reviews: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6994/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-review

The 780 has a clear advantage, and the extra GB of Vram will only help it further in the future.

Looks pretty good there are a few little tweaks like slightly faster ram and not sure if the lightning is worth the extra money over the msi gaming.

Which ram would you recommend?

Also, do you mean the 780 isn't worth the extra money over the 770 i'd picked?

'Absolute' is a strong word :p It is overkill at the moment for 1080p, I'll accept that. But if you can fit it into your budget, the 780 will keep you at max settings on 1080p for a fair bit longer, and as you won't be going SLI with that motherboard/PSU I'd recommend the fastest single card you can afford. If you don't want to spend the extra for the 780 I'd probably recommend a 280X over the 770, purely for the extra Vram. The Sapphire Toxic would make you very happy, although they seem to be in short supply.

From the description of the case I can't tell how many front fans it comes with (if any). I'd give OcUK a call to check.

The 780 is in budget for me so it's not a problem ;)

The case however if I remember correctly has 4 built in fans I had this case before and I absolutely love it which is why i'm purchasing it again.

Other than that how does it all look?

Well, you know my feelings on the 500gb SSD :p But moving on. The only concern I would have is that your chosen RAM looks like it has tall heat spreaders, which can be a problem as large heatsinks sometimes hang over the first RAM slot. It might be a problem, it might not. As an alternative I can recommend Avexir RAM, although the Blue 2133mhz ones you'd want (for colour-coding purposes) are currently out of stock.

EDIT: Actually, the Prolimatech Panther than comes with your motherboard doesn't look too big. Should be fine - just ignore me.
