There is lots of talk on the forums regarding the bigger brother i7 4790k, lets get some results and experiences from you guys with a i5 4690k.

I be having both CPU's delivered at some point today so I can post some information on the 4690k results here.

I'm still deciding between the two, I know in my head the i5 will likely be more than adequate for my 1080p gaming needs but there is always that nagging feeling I'm not getting the 'best'. That said, I'm doing Micro ATX and just got a R9-280x so this isn't a high end build like my last PC anyway.
Interested in your results, thinking about getting one and cooling with an H80. The 4770k I had was a pig to keep cool with a modest OC.

I will be testing them with a Z87i Pro ITX and a Sapphire R9 290 Tri X.

After a very quick and dirty OC i may have won the lottery.

Cinebench run @ 4.7 on 1.2volts (1.98 CPUz). Temps about 59 - 61.

Let see where this CPU can go :D

That's great, I wonder what this CPU would have to run at to match my 4770k at 4.4 as it was.

What cooler are you using? I presume an H80 will be ok, I had an H100i for my 4770k but I think those things were known for running really hot

I am using a Noctua D14 in a Bitfenix Prodigy ITX case with a r9 290, so temp are staying a lot lower than I expected in that cramped thing.

Never even see this thread, Damn it.

Well, I'll post my 5GHZ up tonight when I get my custom loop and new mobo sat in. Pics to follow.
