That's a whole lot of card for your money.

And to think I paid £300 (£260/265 once I sold the games on) for my 290 only about 3-4 months ago.....


Also, don't forgot, you get to choose 3 games from a decent selection including the choice of alien isolation & star citizen! So you could potentially knock of at the very least another £40 making the 290 only £180

Aye basically means you can get a lightning for £270-280 after selling the games

Upto 228 left in the world, I have dibbs on them all, taken 100 to start with, already pre-sold 3 units.

Will a 750w psu be enough for this card?

If the 980's didn't rape the 290's so hard in the benchmark threads, i'd have probably ordered a couple of Lightnings to tinker with.

Ordered two of the MSI 290X Lightning cards, cheers Gibbo great deal from OcuK. May come back for a third at a later date.

Damn , what are you trying to do? Make all of our wives leave us ? .... 2 lightnings for the HTPC a bit much ?

Lightning is the 290x to get. Monster cooling.

1.5v on air and VRM temps under 70 degrees. Makes all other 290s are crap in comparison

From recollection my box is in the loft for the lightning, but Im sure it said Min 750 watts.
I have a 750 watt anatec, and it works fine on 1100 Mhz with and without the 3rd power cable plugged in
