20 years since the internet's were born. What are some nostalgic websites/memories, I'll throw a few. Netscape navigator. Geocities. Tripod(think this is still going). Friends reunited. AOL messenger Mass scaremongering forwarded emails. Eudora mail. Windows NT.

I remember the guy in the shop when we were buying our first internet capable PC going absolutely mad about AOL online, and Yahoo chat, whilst throwing AOL disks at my face.

Finding out about dial up, I was like, woahhhh, but it cost per minute, so had to keep usage to a minimum, then came the "free" dial up services, but it was hit and miss weather you would be able to connect, when you did it was 2 hours at a time, then you would get cut off, and struggle to get back on.

I knew they pushed AOL hard, but that's just violence.

Ours was flat rate evening and weekends. Every. Two. Damn. Hours. "BRB, two hours, reconnecting".

Took ages on the 56, but one of the first things i did in the summer of 98 was yank off the latest st voyager episode trailer from america.

Keep in mind, that was back in the day when we were nearly a year behind, and you wouldn't be downloading it the next morning like the cool kids do now.

argh, the days coming back from school connecting via dial-up to talk to people i just saw 5 minutes before hand.

NUDGE
