Is the warranty on them just 90 days or do they also come with manufacturers warranty ?? Dont wanna risk getting one if they only have 3 months warranty

Quite often they come with near full manufacturers warranty. eg a while ago I bought EVGA GTX 580 and when I registered it I got the full 3 years.
Just be careful as from experience Gigabyte b grade GPU's have been a disaster and sometimes GPU's are returned due to coil whine or something similar.
Just bear in mind you might get a bit of a dud.

Yep, that's pretty much it. You *might* get some kind of warranty after the 90 days, but there's no way you could ever guarantee it.

Even if a rep said they would, it could get messy if they were no longer around.

Just assume the 90 days is all you are going to get. We had this problem crop up on here not long ago where the card developed a fault and as it was outside the 90 days the guy was basically told to do one. He tried the manufacturer who told him they would only deal with it through the retailer and as they had already told him that they were not interested it looked like he was stuck with a expensive paperweight. It was only after a several page thread developed that the shop did a U turn and did something about it.

Personally I wouldn't go near B-grade now unless it was a massive saving. Often the saving is ony £10-20 over buying new (sometimes even less) and it's just not worth the risk. That GTX960 in there at the moment is also misleading. It's up for £109.99 and saying it's reduced from £169.99. How come that very card is £129.95 brand new and with a freebie then?

I have had a B Grade MSI 7950 GPU fail outside the 90 day warranty. I went direct to MSI and they sent me an upgraded 7950 Twin Fozr. So as long as you get a decent manufacturer you will be fine.

Hi, just for your info. EVGA do give on all KR products three years of warranty, also for second hand user. If you have a copy of the originally invoice you get three years from that date, if not we give three years from the date the card left our warehouse. So if you can find a good deal on a EVGA card at the second hand market it is might worth it. 960/970/980s are just out there for about a year so there would still be about two years of warranty left if you get one second hand.

Ah thats good to know as ive been looking at EVGA

I've bought plenty of B grade items from OC/UK over the years, I'm yet to have an issue with any of them!

Luck of the draw perhaps, of course, but I most certainly don't regard B grade as any sort of a risky prospect.

I wouldn't buy a B Grade unless its "used prices" because of why it might be B Grade to start with and warranty issues.

Treat then as used cards and price to match.

However if EVGA will honour a years warranty then that's a bit different.

I carnt find any used 970s except on the bay which i wont use

As a buyer on ebay you have good protection for problems. I use eBay quite a bit for used items, though always try to stay with manufacturers who allow transferable warranties. As you are looking for EVGA you should be good.

Does the Gigabyte warranty still stand after the months with OcUK are up?

I've just had a gigabyte 780ti wf die on me, I cant find the original invoice and have no proof of purchase. I contacted gigabyte and they said they would accept the card back and attempt a repair, if the repair failed however, they would not replace the card.

I got a B Grade 290 off OCUK for a really decent price and I've had no problems.

However, as mentioned by a couple of previous posters also check the price of new cards (not the 'reduced from' price quoted in the B Grade advert) and make sure you are getting a decent discount...

I could not find my original invoice just a took a picture of my Overclockers online account showing the order and they accepted that as proof.
