9 bay Aliexpress NAS case

Has anyone tried this yet? Seems perfect as all the SFF cases have too few drives. I'd prefer 10 bays but 9 will do.

Just don't wanna be the first to buy this if I don't have to be...

it looks like it’s something designed to be put away in a cupboard or a shelf and not seen …

If only there were an industry standard for mounting things like computers in a stacked format in cupboard shaped enclosures so they are out of the way.

Why does it need to be full height expansion cards. Half height would make it a much more helpful size, and SFX sized PSU would do.

The point is it's much smaller form factor thsn rack mount. The only reason I'd buy this is to move from a 2u supermicro with 12 hotswap bays to something that will fit out of sight in a cupboard.

I've never bought any hardware based on how it looks especially not servers.

Sorry, I was being a bit cheeky.

At first glance … looks noisy. What you lose in footprint you certainly gain in height … do you need the foot print that small ?

you could wall mount the super micro in the cupboard vertically against a wall ? A lot cheaper
