Android app breaking through DND

Pixel 8, Android 14, App is "Juggluco"

I've got an issue with an app whose alerts (not traditional notifications I don't believe, it alerts me when a connected sensor tells it to) break through DND. It never did this till my phone decided to reset all my apps permissions.....

DND has everything disabled except for a few people being allowed to phone me and my clock app (for its alarm). The app in question has every option for DND disabled.

I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I'd turn off all notifications for the app.

Or turn off the individual categories in the notification settings and go from there.

It appears the app isn't sending "notifications" but is using the phones "ring" functionality to send the audio alert.... I've made the creator aware, but for now my solution is to disable the ring audio through Tasker except for any contacts I want to get hold of me....

Annoying when things work and then break for no apparent reason....

I have notifications turned off using Juggluco on my S22 ultra, don't get a beep from it
