I'd suggest you all get pre-ordering then if the price is shockingly good as you can bet there will be no stock or when we do get stock and have free stock the price will go up if Asus can't meet demand. I did order 250pc though so we shall see.

Well this coming out is better in every way so why wouldn't it? The swift will be one of the worst 144hz 1440p monitors after Acer and Asus release the IPS equivalents.

Okay thanks badass, will be looking forward to the review as always!

If Asus can charge £600 and it sells, they don't need to change the price, Asus could not give a monkies about other panels if sales remain strong. :)

Also the TN panel in the ROG is a rare panel produced in smaller numbers, bumps cost up, faster response and of course G-Sync.

The price wont move unless worldwide sales take a massive drop, right now Swift absolutely flies of the shelfs and FREESYNC only works on AMD who have less than 25% market share.

So that would suggest the £600 Swifts will continue selling very well. :)

It is a bit confusing, I confess - mainly because the market is moving so quickly at the moment!

Current announced range (in terms of ROG only, there are plenty more non-ROG ASUS monitors) is:

1) Swift, i.e. 1440p TN G-Sync (as you all know)
2) Dominator, i.e. 1440p IPS FreeSync (as mentioned in this thread)
3) PG27AQ, i.e. 4K IPS G-Sync (on the way)

Thanks for clarifying as even I was confused if this monitor was an ROG panel, so glad I pretty much got it right, the fact its called Dominator pretty much suggested to me it was an ROG panel. :)

Strange that OcUK allowed them to be sold when clearly Asus have arranged for all the units to be shipped back to them due to faults. I have found at least 6 websites that have stated this some more than 2 weeks ago.

Asus informed us today, when our stock landed, hence why they nearly shipped but have now all being re-called for a firmware update. :)
