Awful title but I'm sure you get what I mean. While I have a lot of experience in water cooling and custom build's I have never really looked into customisation of the PSU and Cables (A fear of electrocution I guess )
I am looking to build a new project in a Caselabs S3 case and was wondering:
1. If I was to create custom cables that are shorter/longer than the originals can this cause any issues?
2. How do I find the AWG of the wires on the original PSU and if for example they are 16AWG will there be any problems if I was to use a better cable e.g. 18AWG?
Also I was thinking of painting the PSU cover. While I know that you need to discharge the caps and voids the warranty I was wondering if there was any other issues you can face removing the internals for spraying?
Thank you in advance for any help.
