Hello,

Long story short.

I don't normally have the money for this kind of build, was knocked off motorbike and got money from insurance gonna buy a PC.. there!

So im totally new to this but i am a gamer and love to play most games.

(currently: everquest next landmark alpha/Rust/ will be playing elite dangerous and star citizen)

This is over my budget and from lack of exp i just put everything i think i needed.

Please can you handsome and clever gentlemen show me any obvious errors in my quest to the gaming euphoria!!

I am building this myself thank you for the great advice!

Welcome,

Is this a pre-built system or Building it yourself?

If this is just a gaming build you can make a few changes.

Firstly you won't need 16GB of RAM, get 8GB of 2000mhz+ RAM and that'll be great. :)

The PSU is OVER specced too, a 600W-650W PSU will be fine.

I'd also invest in a better CPU cooler, like the matterhorn or the 212,412..

16 gig overkill? fair enough, i currently only have 4gb of ddr2. 250gb sd sounds like a better idea that 60gb.. don't know what i was thinking really..

As already said, if I was spending that much Id probably want a 250ssd, its surprising how quickly you fill it.

And yes ram prices are fairly high currently and 16gig is an overkill nice to have if you can get it cheap.

Good CPU and GPU though :) and will be a great system once its tweaked a little.
