Hi all,
Browsing the forum, I think someone may be able to help with a query I have about loudspeakers.

I would like to build a CUBO style bass loudspeaker, I wondered if I could use two smaller bass drivers instead of one bigger one. My question is what measurement should I use when calculating the area of the driver, the radius of the chassis eg for an 8” bass unit, should I calculate 3.14*(4*4) = 50.24 sq inches so 2 units would be 100.48 sq inches, or the radius of the cone up to (but not including) the suspension, eg 3.14*3.25*3.25 = 33.16 sq inches, so two units would be 66.33 sq inches.

Also would the calculation for a 12” chassis be 3.14*6*6 = 113 sq inches or 3.14*5*5 = 78.5 sq inches?

Thank you, Stuart.
