How do you deal deal with DFS channels?

Nope. They were released I think in 2020.
Like I said some older equipment will avoids it so it is often clear. I use 149 as my main channel at home.

There's still only one available 160 MHz channel there. Once people start getting the newer equipment that will become crowded as well.

Is there a way to tell if any particular device can use channels 149+, other than trying to see if it will connect?

Just looked at my router settings and it doesn't have any option to select channels 149 and above.

What routers are you using that have those channels available?

It's not my router but my wireless access points. Unifi ones.
Try updating the firmware.
