ITX Build for £500?

Is this feasible nowadays? I already have a case and power supply, it wouldn't need to be especially tiny. Case is an SG11

If APU then budget is easier - just APU (eg 8600G), mobo, ram and NVME.

Otherwise cost of GPU would need to be accounted for, perhaps a lower spec CPU would work.

A620/APU build as above should be doable if you're only buying new parts. Used however opens up more options for something like an 7500F/7600 + A620I or Or 12400F + H610I with a 2nd hand GPU depending on what you need.

SG11 takes micro ATX motherboards as well so that gives you more options.

Yeah I would lean towards finding a decent micro ATX board, should be cheaper than the ITX options.

Do you want the build to be brand new? Or would 2nd hand parts be an option to help with the cost?

Yep, totally do-able, buy second hand/something that has a fault.

I bought a B450i/3500X/16GB ram/RX 580 8GB MITX 2nd rig off a mate at what he paid last year with a faulty gpu - £280, and just upgraded bits as I went - it lives in a SG-13 btw

So you shouldn't have a problem doing this with any spec build, just get a reasonable motherboard and a 'good enough for now' cpu/gpu and upgrade it over time once you're up and running?

Having a quick look, I could quickly put together this list brand new. PC Partpicker estimated PSU usage at 159W with these parts so far.

B550 Micro ATX board - £95
16GB DDR4 - £36
SN770 500GB - £53
550W PSU - £57

£366 so far with £134 spare, but not sure if you need an OS. But you could easily get any parts on MM from other users. Just a thought.

I bought a second hand 1600/b350/16gb/750ti not sure case or PSU but were branded for £100 off facebook. Stuck a 3600 in (Annoyingly 5xxx bios came out few days after), 3050 and a 1tb NVMe in Cost me £450 all in May 2022.
