I've had a Cambridge Soundworks DTT2200 5.1 speaker system for years. They sound OK, but are limited by the tiny size of the speakers.
I listen to a lot of music in my study (and don't do gaming). I prefer to listen to it with a surround effect, as I find it more immersive. I was wondering whether there was a worthwhile upgrade which would really enhance the quality of music playback?
I use the onboard Realtek sound on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite motherboard. I use the Realtek Audio Console, with the Speaker Fill option for surround effects.
There's no particular budget, and wireless would be nice (but definitely not essential).

I used to have same speakers. Sound absolutely horrid haha

Look into a AVR and 5.1 speaker system For example Magico M9 lol What's your budget.

Don't waste your money on wireless.

The trouble is that AVR's are too big for my desk :0(
