OcUK Infinity Tesseract - Build Log

This is a log of this build for forum member Bongomike. It's actually the second Tesseract built after my initial test build but this will be the final configuration with a couple of improvements from the test build.

And so it begins!

All the component parts ready for build, a collection of our favourite hardware.

First up, an air cooled test build. This is the same configuration that is used in the Infinity Cube air cooled system.

So the air cooled test was OK...time to strip it all down and start watercooling...

Pump and Res Top ready...

A couple of well placed holes drilled snd the pump is mounted...

For this build we are using 2x MSI GTX 780 Gaming Series

Ready to be blocked up...

and done..

and the case is stripped and ready for the radiators..

So Titan blocks are suitable for use with 780s? Useful info, thanks Scott.

GTX 780 yes, the upcoming Ti cards, we don't know yet. We've been told of improvements to the PCB on the new cards so it's probably not likely.

The rads are in...

and because the case wasn't really designed for watercooling a couple of tight fits are negotiated...

This is the price of using only the best radiators available..

Now that the watercooling is in, loops filled & bled...

time to start the wonderful task of cable management!

Build done, currently running one of our battery of tests...it's FAST! but I won't spoil the surprise yet by saying just how fast

The OCuk staffers have been helpful again and arranged a pre-noon delivery on friday for me so i can have a day off work to play!

yeah sorry about the extra day delay, I spent over an hour tracking down the cause of some very strange graphics issues only to discover that I had a slightly dodgy SLI bridge. Didn't want to rush the install & tweaking.

The first listed are out of stock again, so I am glad to use the others

yes, this is the reason for the change but it has always been my intention to use the best radiators that I can get in reliable supply. The XSPC RX appear to provide better performance and more reliable supply so they will probably the standard radiator from now.
