Repurposing a VERY old iPad mini on my desk

Looking for ideas, maybe there are none. I have found an old iPad mini in a drawer, charged it up and updated it. It will only updated to iOS 12.5 and the battery is pretty tired so it needs to be plugged in at all times which is no problem.

Question is, is there anything useful I can have it do while sitting on my desk? Would use it as a clock, or to display weather info maybe? Would love to use it as a stream deck too, however for all these apps there is a requirement for much more up to date iOS, which is fair enough I suppose.

So my question is, does anyone else use a very old iPad for a particular task? Any ideas for anything it could actually do sitting on my desk plugged in, or realistically is it just dead?

This is going to sound a bit ridiculous but I also now have a 6th gen iPad on iOS 16 that's kind of in the same boat. Battery is poor so can be left plugged in. Any ideas? Stream Deck maybe?

I use the web version of Spotify (& sometimes twitch) as background noise on my old iPad on iOS 12. Always plugged in on my desk

I have an iPad mini 4 on my desk with a cracked screen (and a screen protector covering the crack) that I use for Sky Sports when there are F1 practise sessions so I can keep an eye on them while I'm working. I've deleted all the stock apps I can so it literally has just six icons on screen.
