" After 7 months of intensive testing Thorney Motorsport (TMS) can now categorically confirm what the entire car tuning World already knew - the quality of fuel you use in your car has a direct effect on the level of power your car provides. "

Rather than post this in the Supermarket fuel thread and get lost in the shopping trolley arguments, this is of special interest for those of us that run FI or 6 cylinders , iirc the standard mr2 mentioned is an na , somebody correct me here.

"In total the cars were measured between 18-34 times "

So each fuel ( Total , Optimax, Bp Ult, Tesco ) , 3 tanks worth ( from 3 different stations ) used then dyno'ed.

Two cars, four fuels, so four tests per car , done each month for eight months. So plenty of time for the ECU to adjust to real world driving. Seems a valid control approach.
