He came round for me to do his engine bay for him so snapped a couple of (not very good) shots of it.

For a 17 year old lad, he's got his head screwed on when it comes to fettling with it, i think it looks spot on (although i am trying to convince him to remove the rear window sticker and sunstrip, and to paint the drums black)

Ok, it doesnt shout "hey, look at me" but its very subtle, and that i like, especially for a first car :)

Lose the sunstrips and it aint too bad, perhaps an inch less on the alloys too, looks over-wheeled.

Nice colour.

I swear these threads are just ASKING for people to take the ****.

I love the 306.

My mate has a 1.4 in silver with some 17's (similar to those in the photo) on it and I think it looks great. It's one of the only small hatches that I think can pull them off.

I've talked him into lowering it next which I think would finish it off, obviously ;)

So don't bother replying then, its quite simple really. I don't reply to threads that have no interest to me, it really isn't that difficult, Jez :)

I have rose tinted specs when it comes to 306's but I think they are a car that its very hard to improve with non OEM stuff.

Most 306's on big rims look crap, but that looks pretty good, ditch the sunstrips and the headlamps and it will look pretty:cool:

I still have a softspot for the 306 :)

So you think silver (which is what they currently are) is better than seeing as less of them as possible?

Yes, much better than having painted drums.

You only paint drums because you wish you had calipers to paint, or because you're embarrassed you have drums.

They look fine as they are.

Oh right, the Silver Hammerite must have come on the drums like that from the factory then ;)

He painted them Silver chap :)

All he's done is lower it, put bigass bling wheels on and a backback (or full system, don't see the point if he has though). Oh and those chav as **** stickers :p

Not hard but looks tidy if he changed the wheels imo.

cyclones and dropped is all a 306 needs tbh, its already a nice looking car from the factory

well phase 3's are anyway

Get rid of the sun strip and replace the alloys with a more subtle set and that'd look spot on. As it is, I'm not a fan.
