One of my cats 'Mima' decided to bring me a present back after a good few hours hunting.

Here it is (in QT format, sorry didnt have time to convert it. Its 15 mb.:()

prezzie

Why do they do it? What use do we have with these things they bring home?

Do they belive we will give them a medal or something.....

Bizzare

bringing it in for later, or maybe they acknowledging you as their master bring you breakfast out of respect, stop being so rude, and thank your cats for bringing you breakfast in bed :D

It's what cats do...

A friend of mine has an 11 year old which killed a rabbit the other week. Birds and rodents are a weekly occurrence.

I don't have quicktime installed, but I assume the cat brought in a bird. If so one of ours does this too. Although she hasn't this year...

If I saw a cat in the street doing that, I'd rescue the frog :(

I love frogs... always pick em up out of the road after it's been raining and put them somewhere safer. Just something I do

This is the first time any of the 3 cats have been seen bringing home anything. We have had a few birds on the front garden a few times but not seeing one ACTUALLY bring one back.. i found it funny at first, but sort of felt sorry for the frog..

.mov, aww screw that
My cat once left a dead bird in the doorway of the kitchen.
Made my dad put it outside :)

thats why cats should be banned in this country, hundreds of millions killed by pussies, kitty etc etc each year and i for one would love to see it stopped.

LOL. Who's going to enforce such a ban?. :p

Its only natural m8, they are one of the only animals that kill not just for food, but for kicks.

I know what you mean though, our m8's cat brought a tiny wee mouse back in from the field over the back of his house the other night whilst we were at a BBQ there. Poor wee thing had been battered silly. I took it off his cat and went around the front of the house to put it under the hedge there as it looked stunned but not too seriously injured and was hoping it might recover and leg it down the street.

Cat followed me with an annoyed look on his face and just would not leave the mouse alone.

I think the frog got away cos I saw Mima coming from a certain location and I searched for the frog and couldnt find it.

Hope Mimas ok. Dont want her to have an unpset stomach..:(
