I just look at the image, how detailed/compressed it looks and the variety and seperation of colours(which can make a mahoosive difference in file size).How could a sig being 40Kb instead of 20Kb be noticeable?
Are you still on 56k?
Its not a perfect system as most of the time i get caught out by images that float around the 20kb mark but atleast it kills time when i have nothing better to do other than lurk around on the forums
