Mclaren might be in the poo big time [ANCIENT THREAD REVIVAL]

$100 million is an awful lot. I would like to see Mac secure drivers championship and boycott any remaining races

I thought that the verdict was regarding the possession of the data, and not that the cars had benefitted from said data..

perhaps I am wrong.. will be interesting to read the official explanation of exactly WHAT they have been found guilty of

can we expect rons resignation in the next few days? One way to shift blame.

yep I haven't seen any storys that confirm *** car benefited, which means it's a bit early to jump on the ban the drivers points as well.

I can't see it myself. He's stuck with the team for so long and handled so much controversy in the past. This might be a new level by anyone's standards, but he'll be going nowhere I don't think.

Doubtful AH2, Ron has always said the Constructor's was more important than the driver's championships and with a character as strong as his would want to go out on a massive high not only for the press but also for himself.

Sky News story was really good I thought, Murray's opinion is always welcome.
Bloody ridiculous penalty in my eyes, championship is completely hollow and anyone that wins will be through default or "cheating"

They benefitted because they knew where Ferrari were cheating at the beginning of the year. Coughlan was told by Stepney the way the ferrari floor flexed up at speed, thus an illegal device.

But apart from that I can't see any other evidence. I like to see with a lot of you guys what evidence they thought was strong enough to impose that sanction.

The whole thing stinks!

Fia have always been biased towards ferrari, this just proves it.

Toyota have copied the entire ferrari car and the fia despite a court convicting employees of stealing info have done nothing at all. Now this.

Quite the opposite, if they hadnt cheated none of this would have happened and equally I believe they would not be leading either the drivers or constructors championships :D

Mclaren have always owned tbh , they will bounce back waiting for the conference results i want to know what NEW evidence they have FIA have always licked Ferrari's arse

"The team must also prove there is no Ferrari 'intellectual property' in their cars next year before racing."

Is that even possible?

1. F1 is all about copying other team's ideas. Lotus basically wrote the book on how to build a F1 car and run a F1 team. Does that mean all the F1 teams since then are using their intellectual property?

2. How do McLaren even know if something belongs to Ferrari? Technically (and I believe) they shouldn't/wouldn't know.

Can you show me all the evidence you have to back up your allegations?
Until we see the whole story (which we probably never will) then this whoe thing just reeks of FIA/Ferrari BS.

No1

They already have 2008's car ready to be built, if not built already. So Fia will look at this

2nd

what you said :P

Mclaren should leave F1 tbh
