NOT Happy, Tyre + Idiot Advice

No chance! Whilst this might be correct procedure who's going to do that unless its a supercar?

Me.
My marking is a bit wide, but on the roundabout it goes to 2 lanes for about 1, 1.5 cars length, there is enough room for 2 cars on the roundabout, if one is going left/straight on or right anyway!

What do the markings say?

There aren't any...it's basically the same as this roundabout

I didn't and the garage who fitted my new tyre for me after I found a nail in there didn't say anything about getting the opposite tyre replaced.

In that case she was fine to go straight on.
I would be unhappy if someone tried to go straight on when i was in the left hand lane there and they were in the right.

In situations like that i'd hope most drivers understand that the right hand lane is for turning right and the left for coming off the 1st or 2nd exit. Its only logical.

Thats how i navigate roundabouts..

left hand lane = left turning and to go straight on (unless marked) right hand lane = to turn right.

If the exit straight across is more than 180 degrees and the markings don't state otherwise then the right hand lane is perfectly fine for going across the roundabout.

Thats just how our roads work. Especially when there's 2 exit lanes too.

Select the appropriate lane on approach to and on the roundabout. If no marking on the road it is usually safest to keep to the left lane

that's taking into account if there are two exit lanes. The picture above is pretty bad.

Straight over = left hand lane unless other wise stated, or duel carriageway / 2 lane exit on the straight over junction.

Either way, OP looks like you are stuck with it unforunately.

An unfortunate event, hate it when people do that. From the sounds of it the exit that the OP took was one lane in which case it is not fine for the person in the right lane to carry straight on.

I wouldn't bother replacing the tyre tbh. Check the tyre pressures every time you drive it for a few days. If they haven't gone down, they should be alright. I went through the rim protector of one of my tyres to about the same depth last summer and the tyre's been fine with some pretty hard driving.

Nah I'm not gunna bother with insurance waste of time and won't get anywhere, just gunna suck it up and hope karma comes around and they get killed by a cement mixer (bitter...meee..with my reputation...?? :p)

I don't suppose any budding photoshoppists fancy shopping my wheels to black to see what they'd look like after a refurb?

Roundabouts are a tricky one and incidents taken to insurance generally settled 50/50, as the highway code states:

160: On approaching a roundabout take notice and act on all the information available to you, including traffic signs, traffic lights and lane markings which direct you into the correct lane. You should be aware of the speed and position of all the traffic around you
As rubbish as it is, its both parties responsibility to be aware of each other.

But she wasn't really totally in the wrong, just sounds like you *both* weren't paying enough attention (you came off worse unfortunately), so no bad karma...
