which Broadband?

Whats wrong with llu?

nothing. llu is good. but not everyone can get it. it all depends on whether the isp has put their own equipment into the exchange. this means they can offer faster unlimited services for less money because they don't have to pay BT (wholesale, not BT the isp) for bandwidth on BT's network.

for the majority of people stuck with an isp that runs over BT's network, enta is by far the best provider for heavy users. :)

im on BT and am unlimited.

whilst they claim to offer unlimited, the do have a fair use policy....

7.What is the Fair Usage Policy on the "unlimited" Option 3?
BT Total Broadband's Fair Usage Policy is designed to make sure that the very few excessive users on the Option 3 Unlimited product do not use their service at the detriment of other customers.

BT will monitor network performance and may restrict the amount of bandwidth available to very heavy users during peak time to ensure that the majority of the customer base has a good customer experience. There will be no restriction imposed outside of these peak times.

If you don’t use Peer-to-Peer or file sharing software or if you don’t download very large files continuously at peak times, then it is very unlikely you will be affected by this policy.

the trouble with this is their implementation. plenty of heavy users abuse the system and get a great service. then others who hardly download a thing, get throttled to kingdom come even on http. at times, people are suffering with dialup performance - i'm not exaggerating either - i've experienced it first hand. in the end i had to leave, it was that bad. now of course people come out defending BT saying "i download **** loads and it doesn't affect me". and therein lies the problem. it's a complete lottery. and as for the support? hehe even the die hard BT fan can't stick up for their support. :)

I've had nothing but trouble with my ADSL24 connection for the last week. Ping jumping between 15 and 300 at random, constantly getting kicked off servers.

You'll get them pulled even further down now that Tosscali have bought em.

Im on UKFSN (Enta. reseller), faultless, cracking service, highy recommended. :)
