Remember my other thread! HALO3 Proof of earlie SALE!!!!! WOOOOT! PROOF!!!! HALO3!!!

This aint good - now the story will get leaked and will Pee a lot of people off who don't want it ruined by idiots - Sorry

Arguably, only idiots (who didn't want to know it) would go and read the story.
Fact of the matter is, if it's such a big deal just don't read the damn Halo 3 topics. It's not going to ruin your lives.

i hate halo for the simple fact every xbox fan boy thinks its the greatest things since sliced bread.

mediocre game imo.

Mediocre?

Hmm, go look at the sales figures and number of players on Halo 2 online.

Doubt it'd get that far if it was mediocre, the Halo 2 launch broke records.

The Halo series are far from the best first person shooters and I just don't get the hype.
When it comes to sci-fi based shooters, UT is miles ahead.
From what people have told me, graphically the beta was not better than Halo 2.
Bungie even got lazy with the PC version of Halo 2 cos the graphics are no better than the Xbox 360 version.
And those silly clown like enemies with their annyoing voices hardly give the game credit to a quality first person shooter when it comes to single player.

Oh and before someone shouts 'but graphics are not everything!', yes I agree when someone has a mediocre graphic card in a PC but at least they can change the settings.
When it comes to consoles there is no excuse for lazy developers not pushing the technology so good graphics and framerates can be equal.

I agree with hashcake, never been blown away by Halo tbf. Halo 2 seemed reasonable enough but by no means groundbreaking or anything. Maybe it is if you haven't grown up on PC shooters and have only played consoles, I dunno.

I'll probably still give Halo 3 a try though :D

Blablabla Halo not special blablabla

Halo games metacrits far above any UT game ever will. I'm not interested in brainless twitch shooters with no substance or story. Unreal 2 was a total flop, 2004 was a copy and paste of 2003 because the developers lacked imagination, and Unreal Tournament 3 was only impressive because of its engine, which has now been shown and released in several other games to date, like Bioshock.

If you don't get it, then too bad, no need to remind everyone else over and over - I swear it's only for Halo that people come on topics and just post negative comments and nothing else. Ok so you don't like it, you don't need to waste your time telling everyone else who's genuinely excited over the upcoming release, like some old grumpy sod who bursts the little children's football on the green.

Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004. Need I say more to cite a developer's laziness.

I admit that I've only been a console gamer for the last year.
Up until then it was PC gaming all the way for me.
The trailer Jihad posted does indeed look better than Halo 2 but my post wasn't my personal oppinion on the graphics (except for the PC version of Halo 2), just the feedback other people had given to me.
As a fan of first person shooters I will probably end up buying Halo 3 at some point but I do hope the single player aspect is improved.
I do enjoy online gaming as well and although Halo 1 was criticised as a poor port to PC, I did have some fun playing mates online.

On my Xbox 360 so far I prefer either WWII or modern day weapons based shooters, maybe Halo 3 will change my oppinion.
Not that I won't respect the pov of Halo fans but for me personally, the opinion of a few non dedicated fans who buy it will be a deciding factor as to wether I buy it within a few weeks of release or wait until it's in the budget price section.

Wow, you clearly can't read can you?
You've totally taken my post completley out of context and pulled out the parts you soley think are totally slating the game.
I was only saying I don't actually get the hype on this one game alone.
If you read of my other post, perhaps you will see the part where I mentioned that I bought Halo 1 for the PC and Halo 2 for the Xbox so that hardly makes me anti Halo does it?
If you want to be a flame moron then go ahead, but just remember, it's *only* a point of view about hype.

It's nearly always people who played Halo on PC only by the way.
