Team that finished, should've been the team that started, too much fiddling again from Benitez for me. Could've been worse, but should've been a lot better.

Pathetic from Liverpool today. Too many changes and not enough football on the ground. Don't think I've ever seen us hit so many aimless long balls. Still got a lot of work to do if we want to be serious title challengers

Really slack performance today, no spark whatsoever and made mistakes at the back that should have cost us.
Hopefully Crouch and Benayoun will stop complaining about not playing because they were terrible today. Can't think of anything Crouch done all day and Benayoun put in the worst performance ive seen in years, took a week to decide what to do on the ball then gave it away.
The gamble of leaving Gerrard, Babel and Torres out back-fired, up untill they came on Reina was the only player with any urgency.
Still top of the league with a game in hand but should be 2 points clear.

Some great long balls to crouch in the opening minuts but then liverpool just didn't know what to do with the football.
Pompey were just poor they could have easily taken the game to you but they were just so casual they didnt care at all

We should be doing the opposite to today, pick the best team we've got, put the game out of reach and then bring the subs on to play the game out.
I agree, i wasn't too fussed about Gerrard because from the sounds of it he's still injured but the pain was managable without an injection but would have liked to see Torres and Babel start, like i said Crouch and particularly Benayoun were terrible.

Not the end of the world that many will paint it as.
Two problems for me, Sissoko and Alonso in the middle has no drive. No attacking presence - if it has, in Sissoko, it's often without end product due to the lack of quality in his passing.
Crouch and Voronin upfront - not enough pace and creativity. Voronin will work his socks off but him and Crouch are usually in and around the same areas all the time. No one is making a run into the box or behind the defence or out wide.
Torres came on and in the time that he had was making things happen, nearly put Voronin on the end of an excellent bit of play, which came out of nothing. You don't get that with Crouch and you don't get it with Voronin as the provider (with Crouch).
Lesson not only for the team but for the manager as well. I suspect Gerrard was rested because McLaren is a ******* and over-played him after a potentially serious injury and in the rehabiliation period.
Pompey should have scored the penalty, if not the Utaka chance. A draw is a good result given the performance of the team, but not in the fixture list on paper.
