Only the very latest games (I.e. Quake Wars Demo) I'd just like a change

You had room in your budget for a new motherboard so I included one. It should be a bit better at overclocking the quad than your DS3. 8 GiB RAM, a GTX, a great PSU and case, an excellent sound card, Raptors in RAID 0, and the best CPU cooler.

Is Vista the way to go if I game a lot?

Why is the 150GB HD more expensive?

It's a Raptor Therefore 10,000RPM drive. Would be used for the system / game drive to speed up everything.
