Do you keep magazines ?

Well I've got a couple of copies of pc format from april and xmas underneath my monitor to raise it a bit, and I'm sure i've got some going back to last april aswell somewhere :p

Don't know if I've ever thrown one away. Got a good collection of old FHMs, some car modding magazine (name evading me; I was only about 14), and recently Maxim.

May I point out that Maxim is rubbish, I'm going back to FHM when my £10 for 2 years subscription finishes :)

Im glad im not the only one. I had a major clear out last year and found a huge stash of old FHM's, car modding and music magazines.
FHM was a dam fine read but the missus thought they were jazz mags because of all the women lol

When I got the Official Playstation and Playstation 2 mags I used to religiously collect them. I filled loads of boxes and they took over my room. Almost overnight I decided enough was enough. So recycled all but the latest handful of mags.

I no longer get console mags but I do get Computer Shopper and CustomPC. I know I can get everything online, but sometimes just sitting on the sofa with a magazine is all I want to do. I don't like spending lots of time reading large amounts of text on a computer screen either.

Other people in the house also read the mags so it's getting the money's worth. I don't make any special effort to throw them away. They circulate the house until my mum gets fed up and chucks it :D

I have 1000+ aircraft magazines stacked up in the pantry (weighs a bloody ton), other than those I don't really keep any mags longer than a few months at all.

Ok, slightly strange question here. When you have bought and read magazines, do you keep them ? I never do, but recently i have been seeing some good articles/information that i know would come in handy, so i kept them for a while. What does everyone else do ?

Once read, then 'green bin fodder'

I used to hoard them like an old man with newspapers but I realised I rarely look through them and I don't have the space any more. I have a select few from my past and one or two with really good articles that I know I will want to re-read. I don't even need to keep porn mags any more now the internet supplies something new every day :)

Only buy 3D world and as the tutorials in there never really become obsolete (just the software gets updated) I keep them! Not like keeping PC's mags which become obsolete as the hardware in them does ;)

Gaming mags i keep for a couple of months

Hardware mags for about 12 months. After which I'll go through archiving any interesting articles etc into a binder...

Prn mags never bin!!

I always get mens health, and i dont throw them away. There full of useful info and sometimes there on about somthing you dont need to know, but then later on in life you do so i can go back to the article.

For example, i remember reading about a year ago about teeth whitening kits. Im considering trying one next month and so im guna pull out the mag and reread what they had to say on the matter.

Big problem with mags, and books is finding the space for them. So, unless its something truely exceptional i normally put mags in recycle bin and take books to charity shop!

I used to keep them.

I had stacks of every kind. Then I snapped out of it - I didn't even know why I kept them after reading them and recycled them all.

I've got GAMES mag going back to issue one with the last year or so missing and a couple of boxes of 2000AD up in the loft, I'm getting a loft conversion done soon so they've got to go!
