Deadliest Catch

It's great, i normally watch it :)

Younger brother however described them shoving the crab into the hold as "vaguely horrific" :D

Yep, I watch it as well on Discovery, as it's way ahead of Channel 4.

They sure earn their money, risking life and limb every time they set sail.

yep, watched every series, love the Opilio season as thats during the Winter which is even more extreme. I think they are doing a new one called Lobstar Wars

Yeh I usualy watch it and think its a great show if not a little scary with what they do and when things go wrong.

yeh I saw this advertised few days ago, should be intresting to watch and compare the two.

You should watch deadliest catch saint.

But yea, I've always thought that it would be a great job to do. :)

Im glad you lot say they risk thier lives whenever they go out to fish. Im in that boat too (haha).

I get customers everyday, new ones and regular ones saying "Its a disgrace you sell this fish for the prices you do" im like WTF??? Do you not realise how its caught?

Personally im supprised its not costing more to the customer. Those fisherman/woman are a rare breed and deserve everyting they can get from the catches they make..

If the prices of fish/crab etc goes up ill still buy it because I know, in my mind anyhow, its going to taste good and knowing what people have been through to get it to my plate, it will taste a whole lot better.

Im a fishmonger in Morrisons, Seafood retailer of the year, again.

I've been watching it on Discovery and it's really interesting and quite an eye opener. I know I could never do their job, way too dangerous. Stand in the wrong place on deck and get hooked by as rope as they drop the pots in the water and you'd almost certainly drown, or get hit by one of them as the crane puts it in position and almost certain death. Not to mention freak waves and the risk of going overboard in those freezing waters. That's partly why they make so much money.

In the last series, the first day of the crabbing season, I think 2 people died/were lost at sea. What I've seen of the Channel 4 showings, it's the first series, some of which I missed. I really do like this show though.

For ages now i Love it. Sig is the Captain I'd want to sail with

Edit.
Anyone see the Raw Cod Heart eating one :p

Sig is the man. :)

When I was in Cuba, they had US TV with the "new" new series, and the commentary was done by an American (obviously!) and it wasn't the same. Same goes for Mythbusters, it just didn't sound right with a yank talking..
