New HOME Video

Im looking forward to this in October, looks great and seems like its somewhere I could waste far to much time in. Im not sure how much of Home will be working at first Sony is abit coy on how much of Home will be available at first, hopefully nothing major will be missing. Home also looks like it will bring the PS3 gamercard thing with it and possibly the trophy room at first.

I still don't see the point of this, I just want an integrated friends list that actually works and lets me play with my friends.

Looks good. That's kinda what I was expecting Second Life to be like.

I wonder how much content will be chargeable and what will be free. Has any info been released about that?

The thing I don't understand is... 3D Chatrooms have been around for almost a decade now and they've never been popular.

As good as Home looks, I want to play games on my games machine. I talk enough on forums. Of course, I'd like it a lot more if Sony were smart enough to bundle microphones to everyone in the PS3 box.

Look Nokkon - why dont you just sell your PS3 abd be done with it ? - surely that'll put you out of your misery eh ?

I won't get any games then will I?
Why should I sell it though? Because I'd rather play games than sit in a 3D chatroom typing messages with a pad?

My point is completely valid here.

I know exactly what it is, I was having a one on one with the head of Sony 3rd Party and relations for SCEE 2 weeks ago talking about it.

If home is about using real life currency to buy objects for your flat/character and watching Sony products advertised to you 24/7 its going to suck major balls, even if it has bowling mini games included.
If they link some kind of achievement/reward system to earning credits then it becomes a little more interesting.

Its just a gimmick, play it for a month and get bored.

It just seems like a lot of hassle to play someone over the internet.

ITs like they are trying to out do xbl live, xbox live does themes/chat via msn or friends or voice/arcade games all seem similiar to what HOME is trying to do, suppose it will be useful for some kids but I can see many adults taking to it.
