Definitely Sammy Lee. He's way out of his depth at what is now firmly a top 7/8 club.

And I fancy Sanchez to do well at Fulham. He has a good way of making players play above themselves. I doubt they'll make it into Europe, but I don't think he's expected to take them there anyway.

Sammy Lee for me, he looks like he should be with the rest of his troll people.

As for the comments about Sanchez i think they're pretty harsh, i dont expect him to go anytime soon. He's made plenty of signings and is looking to add to it, just look at what he did with N.I. If anyone saw their ability in the Asia trophy im sure they were relatively impressed and don't expect them to go down. Up front Healy and Collins John did the job with Mcbride coming on to help out, Kamara is a loss but they have cover. On a side note Healy played nowhere near his best yet got on the scoresheet and made some decent runs/plays with John.

why 10 votes for southgate

Gibson wouldn't sack anyone , didnt even sack Robson officially

plus things are looking ok at the moment

crap i just noticed resign in the thread title , thats the only reason i could ever see him leaving

Can't see either happening tbh. Gibson is patient enough and will give Southgate the time needed. He also back-up and protect Southgate even if we go on a bad run.

I mean how many chairmen would have sacked McClearn after we got stuff 4-0 by Villa a few seasons ago. Most the fans wanted him gone. It does make the mockery of the fact 20+ people have voted for him on here. Mind you I suspect those 20+ people were the ones who said we'd get relegated last season after we appointed him. Quite a few of the regular footy posters on here were quite vocal on that thread last year, shame it's long gone.

Benitez.
even after spending £billions trying to buy trophies.

Fingers crossed
PMSL. Because chelsea have never spent any money in the pursuit of trophies?

EDIT: Strange that nobody has voted for O'Neil. Thinking about it now he could quite easily be given his P45 if things don't go to plan.

Who are his troll people

Big Sam for me. He doesn't seem to be getting the backing he needs in the transfer market, despite our new multi billionaire owner. I think he will resign, which would be a great shame!

Yep, me and my mate have always been supporters of Southgate as a manager, now obviously it's easier for me as a Man Utd fan, but my mate is a Boro fan and he wants Southgate to have time with the players. His mum on the other hand is one of those vocal ones who wants him out and hounds on about him every time Middlesbrough lose.

Southgate is learning quickly in the Premiership and learned many vital lessons last year and they will definitely steer him in good stead for this season.

Agreed, ever since meeting my GF who was a 7 year season ticket holder at Boro (her Dad has had his for like 30 years  ), they've been like my second club. Southgate will do a good job this season I think.

hes going to be a very very good manager he jsut needs to learn the ropes, im very happy with him at boro, he was possibly our greatest captain and he loves the club, a chairman who loves the club as well what more can you ask for ?

I'd rather have a chairman and manager like that than have millions of pounds from a foreigner looing to make a quick buck.

In other news all Boro games are being shown live in Turkey ! Tuncay must be massive over there (sorry didn't know where else to put it :P)

thb I would have said Hutchingson but he must be a bit better now from being at the side of Jewell for so long but the Wigan squad has hardly improved, Bramble ffs.

He is, he's their David Beckham.
They follow Tuncay like the South-Koreans follow Park I suppose.
Like I said, when I was in Istanbul there were homages all over the place!

...and Mido in Egypt. It was great watching all of the Spurs away games live on Egyptian TV. :)

Tough call. My initial feeling is Sammy Lee but I'm going to go for Bruce on a hunch. He's been at Brum long enough now to be at risk, already taken them down once so I think the board will be a bit less cautious with their trigger-finger this time around if Birmingham are in trouble come the end of the year.
