I think though, that the ram sinks have pre-applied sticky on them. Read one thread where a guy actual bought some different 3rd part sinks for whatever reason and used epoxy to stick them on.

Heh, they are getting sneaky! Never even noticed they started stocking this, although did notice where the MX-1 disappeared too :) Definetly ordering some of them when I get paid next, along with my HR-03 and probably an Akasa Amber 92mm.

You think some AS5 will do for this, I have some OCZ Thermal Paste which is AS5 and wondering if this will do.
 
I normally use AS5 but don't have any at the moment so thought I'd try something a bit different.

Probably won't post any o/c results as I've not even tried o/c'ing the card at all yet as I haven't really had the need to. but I will try and post some pics, thoughts, impressions and some temps etc.

Should be getting delivered to work tomorrow so will try and post some temps of my current setup tonight/tomorrow night and then fit this at the w/e and post the new results after that.

tbh at the moment I'm not too worried about temps, as long as it's not any hotter, my main aim is to make it quieter. Though I am going to keep an eye on CPU and case temps as well.

Still not sure which way I will mount it yet?

indeed, im stumped, above my card it might squeeze in, but its competing with a tuniq tower, below itll gobble up all the space....hmm, suppose i could wait for pics of various setups seeing just how much space this thing consumes in its orientations

I ordered it just after 3pm yesterday and picked Fri 21st delivery, so i guess I can't've missed the deadline. But for whatever reason it was still with the warehouse this morning when I checked.

The only thing I can think is that the HR-03 and Sharkoon had only just come in and still hadn't been unpacked in the warehouse yet. I ordered them before the news items went up. That or they where v. busy yesterday.

A tad annoying but no biggy.

1hr general usage

1hr Stress...


The case has x3 Noctua fans, one on the CPU cooler, one behind it on the back of the case (out) and one at the front in front of the drive cage (in). Also has another fan stood in the 5.25" drive bay blowing front to back.

The 1hr general use was me just browsing the web last night. I do have speedstep etc enabled in bios so the CPU wouldn't have been chucking out much heat.

The 1hr stress was done this morning while waiting for delivery.


Now just need to grow the balls to rip my £250 GFX card apart! :eek:

88degrees!!!!!???

Did it have a fan actually on it? sounds like a damnd waste of money this, at 25% fan in my crappy case I only get to 90 degrees.

BElieve me once he has fitted this you should be impressed ;) The HR-03's are fantastic and the knocked a huge ammount off the GTS's so hopefully we hear back when its fitted
 
Will be interesting to see the results with this cooler, may get one my self depending on this threads feedback.
