From what i've seen its only the Limited Edition that "may" have issues. The legendry edition doesn't come in the metal tin.
Mine should be dispatched on Monday for me to get it tuesday/wednesday. Might not be the case though.
Went into Morrisons tonight and noticed they had a few copies on the shelves. I'm quite peeved!
Why on earth didn't you buy one then?
What is everyone doing for the launch?
Heres my plan;
* Finish work at 8pm on tuesday
* Go collect my TV and 360 and take them to my mate's house
* Stock up on red bull and junk food
* Go collect my copy from a local store at midnight
* Play co-op for as long as we can stay awake
* Play multiplayer for the next 4 days solid

More or less the same except the friend is coming to me, and we are completing the game in legendary. before going to sleep

I have the Collectors Edition Pre-ordered. If I didn't, I would have happily bought it.
Hmmm well Ive got 6th form on the release date but only first 2 lessons So I can come home early and be back for midday (hopefully a package will be waiting for me), when it does arrive I'll probably play through campaign and pull an all-nighter if need be. I wish I could spend 4 days solid playing multiplayer 
Its gonna suck knowing I have schoolwork to do every day before I play Halo. Did you guys also hear in the Bungie Podcast that the new armour styles will be "unlocked" in multiplayer? He said some were for hardcore players I guess meaning its hard work getting them.

i have pre-ordered the game, but to me it graphically looks no better than the halo games on xbox
Seriously, I just played Halo 2.... i think you need to play the originals to make that comment... then play Halo 3.

I was gonna order online but damn its a risk.. knowing my luck it won't turn up till the following monday. Prob gonna call a local store and get them to put one away for me for friday
Why is there talk of it coming earlier? Thought retailers are quite strict these days with release dates. Anyone wanna give me a tip of where to go to get it early
