*F5*

still nothing...

Out of curiosity what type of workbench do you have? I've seen a few cheapass ones around the place but they're quite small. Basically I just need one with clamps to hold down the aluminium and a gap in the middle for a jigsaw or dremel disc to cut through.

Oh and next update tonight :D

The side panels should be 100% finish by Wednesday, hooooooray

Will be putting the clear coat on the case then and will then get started on the front of the case and after that more importantly getting started on making the 7" Xbox 360 drive bay

Amazing work on the etching fonetech! 5 stars and 100% for effort, just looks stunning!

Cant wait to see what the other panels are! Keep up the great work!

*UPDATE*

Well after finshing the Pc window panel it was time to do the Xbox 360 side, I couldnt think of anything other than the main character from Gears of War for the etching, so again I printed the picture I wanted in the size I wanted and lined & taped it up ready for etching.

Now this picture has far more work than the PC window so took a little longer, well about 7 hours all in all, heres the final etching.

At the bottom I etched the Xbox 360 rings and Microsft running through it which took ages, this turned out very well all in all and I am more than happy with it.

Now before any money shots I will explain what else has been done.

With both window panels finished & both mesh top sections cut out it was time to attach these finished pieces to the side panels.

So out came the JB Weld, this stuff is meant to be good, lets hope so.

I couldnt take any pictures of the sticking process because it was a race against time as JB Weld sets in 4 minutes, plus its very messy stuff so heres a finished shot of all panels glued in place.

Now its time for the money shots, like with the PC window I have put the aluminium frames around for the full effect.

Heres also a couple of close up shots, I couldnt be more happier with the finished windows.
