Just watched the BBC1 6'o Clock news Halo 3 footage and boy was it so bad it makes you want to question the legitimacy of their reporting. And as I've (and others) mentioned before boy does their tech reporter hate the 360.

Started with "Violence becoming too common place compared to the Wii.
Then showed the Killzone 2 airship footage with "halo 3 gameplay" at the top.
Yes you need to read that again.
Then went to Shane Kim who said it was lining up to be the biggest entertainment release ever.
Then went to a Wii is best for casuals and only violent teenagers play fps article.

Ended with a focus on a PS3 display outside a high street store.

Shocking.

edit: just noticed Tizzer reported this just before me!

Surely MS will notice this and the BBC will have to admit an apology at least?

What's interesting is I'd just listened to a radio 2 item that was quite positive about the whole thing. It talked about Christian Slater and LL Cool J who'd just arrived at the Imax in London for the launch (that my online buddy only bloody bagged himself a VIP competition ticket to), talked about possible sales making it the biggest entertainment release and was generally upbeat about the whole thing. The reported even mentioned he was a 26 year old guy who did game and that people shouldn't think adults only game on the Wii.

Yeah, saw the report aswell, was so awful. When they started the report off by saying how it was a violent game with a 15 certificate you knew it was going to be the typical rubbish that BBC technology section news spews out.

Radio 1 have been reporting all day that "Microsoft hopes it'll revive flagging sales for the Xbox 360". The impression it gave was that the 360 platform was struggling even against the PS3 :/

This made me livid, absolutely livid.

Not to sound like an angry nerd but i'm going to write to the bbc about this. To put this tripe on national news, given the small amount of attention mainstream media give games, is dispicable.

Inaccurate and biased.

If even the bbc aren't accountable for what they report then who is.

Typical BBC! Radio 1 came out with a stupid comment also, this moring, about Halo 3. Was something along the lines of, 'Microsoft hopes it'll revive flagging sales for the Xbox 360.'
Made it sound as if it was flopping or something!?

BBC aka the sony fanboy network

Not sure thats true one bit I hardly think the BBC could be called Sony fan boys. Remember all the fuss about the RFOM Manchester cathedral level? They had the Church, the Goverment, TV and Radio having a go at Sony (not that it was a Sony made game) because you kill Chimera in the ruined Cathedral, think its more they dont like "hardcore" games on any platform.

I have encountered many articles on the bbc website which is obviously biased in Sony's favour. The bbc are also quick to report the failings of microsoft. I thought this was common knowledge?
