It's actually a colleague who has given me this stinking cold. No point me going home, don't wish to tarnish my 100% record! I'm here for another half hour, and we aren't actually doing any thing, due to every thing running smooth as a babies behind currently.

On the way home, going to nip to asda and pick some stuff up. Thinking, some Lemon, Hot water and Honey, might do the trick.

Not going to doctors as it takes me 4 weeks to get an appointment, by then I'm all well and better. Told my doctor last time I saw him, in future I'd try to prempt my illnesses due to the waiting times.

Might also try try the soluble asprin tablets!

Keep them up guys, I need all the old wife tales...
 
gargle with warm salty water

as long as you're not alergic or asthmatic, gargle with water and effervescant aspirin and swallow

throat spray

Will be gone in no time
 
Tyrozets I think. The little tube of orange pills done wonders when I had a throat infection and some strepsils although they don't do a huge amount they're nice and keep your mouth wet.
 
I forgot about gargling with aspirin, which others have said - that does work well. Gargling with Nurofen pills that have been dropped in a glass of water doesn't work at all though.
 
Just got my self some Mecrocaine, tucked up in bed playing a 30 player MTT Texas Hold-en, will do the paracetamol gargling in a bit.

You think that its a good idea for people to go and see the doctor every time they get a sore throat or a cold? Should we go every time we get headaches as well?

The only time you should go to the doctor for a sore throat is if it looks infected or has been painful for a week. Otherwise people with actual medical problems can't get appointments.
 
Doctor this, doctor that. Already I've stated that it takes weeks for me to get a local appointment, so not going to happen unless I start to prempt my illnesses ;)

If you have exudate on your tonsils you will probably not stand a week without treatment. I mean in terms of pain rather than dying.

Haha, nothing about being an Alpha male mate, just it takes WEEKS to get an appointment, weeks which I can't be bothered to wait. Hence the sweets/medicine :)
