best MB for quad core

need a good MB for a quad core processor (not sure which yet). must be ok with DDR2 ram.

I dont like the OTT heatsink to be totally honest... I can remember people having problems installing certian aircoolers on the thing, and you will get the same performance out of the DS3R for less money
