What's the best robot ever?

Always hated that scene when I was little!

Hehe.

I'm thinking one of the Terminators. Doesn't really get more oppressive than the concept of them.

Anyone remember those little droids from that film - set in space, the last remaining greenhouse. Red and a blue one now? That film was always horrendously sad but it's name escapes me. Think the robots were called Huey and Bluey or something like that...

Windsor Davies rocked!

Damn you! I now have the theme tune running in my head

"I am Nono, small robot you know. Friend of Ulysses".

cant believe no one has said robocop

the clue is in the name

he even beat a Ed-209

update110905_robocop.jpg

and he has the coolest gun ever THAT COMES FROM HIS LEG!

The accolade has to be shared by Ro-Jaws & Hammerstein from Ro-Busters (Starlord and then 2000AD Late 70's).
Hammerstein was so cool he went on to be leader of the ABC Warriors.

Sorry but if Robocop came up to me when i was innocent (ie just walking down the street) i wouldnt be one bit scared.

If ED-209 walked up to my on the street, i'd just collapse into a ball and cry. That thing was just so scary! ED-209 was how robots SHOULD be, none of this imitating humans rubbish or tracks for them to run on. Proper Mechwarrior style, brown trouser inducing menace!

Nearly right. ABC Warriors was set before Ro-Busters. Hence why Hammerstein has 2 heads, the one in Ro-Busters and the damaged one from his time in the A.B.C Warriors.
Never overly keen on Ro-Busters, but A.B.C Warriors was superb, esp Book 3 and 4, set on Termight, when they have to stop Nemis's son from destroying Termight.

Have you not seen the movie? He shoots a bad guy in the love spuds with remarkable precision and accuracy. If you're not scared of that you can't be scared of anything!
