Ratchet and Clank demo 4th October

Solid games they are but I always found they were more shooter less platformer. Not a patch on Mazzas games IMO.

This one looks nice so I look forward to your impressions of it.

Definitely good games, but I always preferred the Jak & Daxter series myself. But I'm really looking forward to both.

Hope you all got your US accounts ready for the R+C demo as us in the EU not getting it this week (big surprise there)

I think if I didn't have a US Account I would have got rid of my PS3 by now, the EU Store is a complete joke!

I want Puzzle Fighter and Tekken Online more than anything!

True but if you didnt know what as on there then you wouldnt know what youre missing lol

True but you'd find out one way or another via the web.

Just gets annoying the way we get poo'd on here.

Yeah its true never understand the reasons why, apart from obvoius language differences between the US and the Euro versions (UK not so), why we have things so late. Maybe things have to go to different ratings boards etc whereas the US has one Europe probably have loads. Microsoft manage to do it though so im not sure what the problem is really.

The baffling this is that all games are region free anyway, so there isn't any real reason not to be able to get all updates the same. If Microsoft can manage it then I don't see why Sony can't.

I guess that's one of the benefits you get for £40 a year :p.

But even so, US don't pay anything either and their store is Awesome!

I mean with Blu-Ray they only really need to make one game, shove a load of subtitles\audio tracks on it for the other countries and your good to go.

But the US store is awesome in comparison to what? Ours? Yes. But if you compare it to a store on the Xbox360, whether it be ours or Americas (especially Americas!) then it's poor as well.

Although America are getting PS3 demo's before us, they are still getting them a lot later than Microsoft are getting theirs. A perfect example of this is The Darkness, the demo appeared on PSN 5 or 6 weeks after The Darkness had been out in the UK, let alone the US. The PSN is flawed in terms of distribution worldwide.

It depends what you compare to, but ours is incredibly poor. Criminally infact.
If I had to pay £40 a year and I would get all the stuff the US get at the same time Microsoft got theirs out on the 360's then I (and I'm sure others would too) would gladly pay it.

The US don't really seem to get anything more than us, they just get it earlier. I'm guessing the cost of distribution is very high, as is the cost of storage, so that's maybe why Microsoft can do it worldwide?

Surely when the games are multi-format (ie The Darkness) and are often worked on by different teams for the different platforms, the simultaneous release on platforms is entirely down to the 3rd party. Paying for Sony's online service wouldn't change this. Unless you are implying that companies are delivering demos to Sony the same time as to MS (how?) and Sony are holding them back.

When multi-platform games are released at different times on ps3 and 360 (usually later on ps3:D ) how can you expect the demos to be released at the same time.

Also during the 1st year MS released a few demos after retail release as well (usually for games that would have lost sales from having a playable demo up). Although this is no excuse for Sony to do so, merely stating it has happened on Live as well (which is still a better distribution platform at present, for game related content).

p.s. anyone getting DNS errors logging onto EU/USA accounts today? (logs in after a few attempts).
